I was honestly surprised by how delicious these carrot fries tasted. The spices gave it a great flavor and it was perfect dipped in ketchup.
This recipe comes together easily with just a few key ingredients. I peeled my carrots but you don’t have to if you don’t want.
Ingredients Needed
Nothing fancy here, folks. Just 3 or 4 medium size carrots, a bit of olive oil, and some simple spices. I seasoned my carrot fries with garlic powder, paprika, dried thyme and salt. Feel free to sprinkle on a little parsley after the fries are done cooking for a little color.
How to Make Carrot Fries
Start by chopping your carrots into fries. You’ll want them to be roughly about the same size and shape so they cook evenly.
Next you’ll add in your spices and olive oil, and give everything a good stir.
You’ll want to lay the carrot fries in a single layer in your air fryer sheet pan or basket (depending on the style of air fryer you have). You may need to do this in batches.
Air fry the carrots until fork tender and caramelized, shaking the basket or sheet pan half-way through cooking.
Serve with your favorite fry dip!

- 2 tsp (5g) olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- pinch salt and pepper (about 1/4 tsp each)
Instructions
- Start by scrubbing your carrots. I like to peel my carrots when I make carrot fries, but you can leave the peels on, too.
- Cut carrots into roughly 3-inch x 1/4" strips
- Place cut carrots in a bowl and drizzle on the olive oil.
- Add spices and mix to coat carrot fries in the olive and spice mixture.
- Spread out on your air fryer basket or sheet pan (depending on the style of air fryer you have). If your basket is small, you may need to do this batches because you don't want the carrot fries to be overcrowded.
